The LBJ Ranch in the Texas Hill Country was the 'Texas White House,' where Lyndon Johnson spent a fifth of his presidency, and the park also preserves his Johnson City boyhood home, his grandparents' settlement cabin, and the family cemetery where he rests.

Drive the ranch loop past the show barn, see the presidential jet, and tour his one-room schoolhouse. For a challenge, tour the Texas White House itself and walk the Johnson Settlement trail along the Pedernales.
