This Gettysburg farm was Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower's only real home: bought in 1950, it served as a presidential retreat where Ike met Khrushchev and de Gaulle, then as the couple's retirement home. The house still holds the Eisenhowers' own furnishings, and the show barn overlooks his prize Angus herd.

Tour the home and try the Secret Service training ground; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, walk the farm lanes and combine the visit with the neighboring battlefield Ike knew intimately.
