Travertine Nature Center
Address: 1504 NE Perimeter Road, Sulphur, OK 73086
Oklahoma's oldest parkland began in 1902 when the Chickasaw Nation sold its mineral springs to protect them; cool springs, streams, and swimming holes like Little Niagara bubble from the Arbuckle Mountains' travertine rock, and bison graze a historic CCC pasture.
Splash in Little Niagara's cascades, see the bison herd, and visit the Travertine Nature Center. For a challenge, hike the longer trails through the forested creek bottoms or boat and fish Lake of the Arbuckles.
