President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site Visitor Center
Address: 415 W Division Street, Hope, AR 71801
This modest 1917 frame house in Hope, Arkansas was home to the 42nd president for the first four years of his life. Raised here by his grandparents while his mother worked in New Orleans, Bill Clinton later credited Hope with shaping his outlook. The home is restored to its postwar appearance and interpreted by ranger-guided tours.
Take the ranger-guided house tour and see the visitor center exhibits on Clinton's path from Hope to the White House; young kids enjoy seeing a real mid-century family home. For a challenge, pair the full tour with a walk through Hope's historic downtown to trace his early years.
