Arches holds the densest collection of natural stone arches on Earth, more than 2,000 of them, formed where a buried salt bed cracked and warped the sandstone above into fins that erosion pierced into spans like Delicate Arch and Landscape Arch.
Wander the easy Windows trails, squeeze into Sand Dune Arch, and see Delicate Arch from the viewpoints; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, hike the full Devil's Garden Primitive Loop, a 7.9-mile route with rock scrambling past eight arches.
