Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts

Wolf Trap is the only national park dedicated to the performing arts, created when Catherine Filene Shouse donated her farm in 1966. The Filene Center, rebuilt after a 1982 fire, hosts summer concerts under the stars, while The Barns host shows year-round.

Attend a show at the Filene Center or the Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods, which runs performances for young audiences all summer, and run the meadow trails. For a challenge, hike the park's full loop trails before an evening show on the lawn.
