Tuzigoot Visitor Center
Address: 25 Tuzigoot Road, Clarkdale, AZ 86324
Tuzigoot is a 110-room stone pueblo built by the Southern Sinagua people between about 1100 and 1400 AD atop a ridge above Arizona's Verde River, with mountaintop views across the valley they farmed. The pueblo's central rooms rise two to three stories.
Climb through the pueblo's rooms to the rooftop lookout and visit the museum's pottery and tools; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, pair the hilltop ruins with the marsh trail along Tavasci Marsh below for the full site in one visit.
