Fordyce Bathhouse Visitor Center and Museum

Address: 369 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901

Hot Springs Reservation was created by Congress in 1832, decades before Yellowstone, making it the first land set aside by the federal government for recreation. The park protects 47 thermal springs flowing from Hot Springs Mountain, the ornate Bathhouse Row where people came to take the waters, and miles of forested trails.

Tour the Fordyce Bathhouse's restored marble halls, feel the spring water at the display fountains, and stroll Bathhouse Row. For a challenge, link the Hot Springs Mountain, West Mountain, and Gulpha Gorge trails into a long day loop above the historic bathhouses.
