Address: 756 Battlefield Tour Road, Crow Agency, MT 59022

On June 25-26, 1876, Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho warriors led by Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse destroyed five companies of Custer's 7th Cavalry here, the most famous Native American victory of the Plains Indian wars. The battlefield honors both sides, from Last Stand Hill to the Indian Memorial's spirit gate.

Walk the markers at Last Stand Hill and visit the visitor center and Indian Memorial. For a challenge, walk the Deep Ravine trail and drive to the Reno-Benteen defense site for the full geography of the two-day fight.
