Curecanti manages three reservoirs on the Gunnison River in western Colorado: broad Blue Mesa, the largest body of water in the state and a famous lake trout and kokanee salmon fishery, plus narrow Morrow Point and Crystal, set in the upper reaches of the Black Canyon.
Boat, swim, and fish on Blue Mesa and drive the canyon rim viewpoints. For a challenge, hand-launch a kayak into Morrow Point Reservoir and paddle into the sheer-walled canyon country that motorboats cannot reach.
