Charles Pinckney National Historic Site Visitor Center
Address: 1254 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
Snee Farm was the country plantation of Charles Pinckney, a Founding Father who helped write the Constitution at age 29 and later served as governor and senator, while dozens of enslaved Africans and African Americans worked its fields; the 1828 house and grounds tell both stories.
Tour the house museum and walk the grounds trail. For a challenge, take the ranger program and study the site's honest telling of a founder's ideals and the enslaved labor behind them.
