Address: 14412 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Whiskeytown, CA 96095

Whiskeytown centers on a clear mountain reservoir in northern California created in the 1960s, with 70 miles of backcountry trails leading to creeks and waterfalls in the surrounding hills. The unit's Gold Rush past surfaces in the old mining ditches and the Tower House Historic District.

Swim at the lake's sandy beaches, hike to 220-foot Whiskeytown Falls, and explore the Tower House Historic District. For a challenge, mountain bike or trail-run the rugged multi-use trail network above the lake.
