Address: 1300 CRUZ BAY CREEK, ST JOHN, VI 00830

This monument protects the coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangrove nurseries ringing St. John, part of one of the Caribbean's richest marine ecosystems, sheltering sea turtles, rays, and hundreds of fish species; it also extends to Hurricane Hole's mangrove forests.

Snorkel the calm reef shallows off St. John's beaches. For a challenge, certified divers can explore the monument's outer reefs and mangrove channels, among the best-preserved in the Virgin Islands.
