Address: 6501 Pageland Lane, Gainesville, VA 20155

Two great Civil War battles raged on these fields: First Manassas in 1861, the war's first major battle, where Thomas Jackson earned the name 'Stonewall,' and the larger Second Manassas in 1862, which opened Lee's first invasion of the North. The Stone House and Henry House still stand amid the fighting ground.

Walk the Henry Hill loop past cannons and the Jackson statue; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, take on the full Second Manassas loop, roughly six miles across the 1862 battlefield.
