Bryce Canyon Visitor Center
Address: Highway 63, Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor Center, Bryce, UT 84764
Bryce Canyon is not a canyon at all but a row of giant amphitheaters filled with thousands of hoodoos, spires of pink and white limestone sculpted by frost and rain at the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, more hoodoos than anywhere else on Earth. The Paiute people knew these formations long before settler Ebenezer Bryce homesteaded here.
Walk the Rim Trail between the overlooks and watch sunrise light up the amphitheater; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, descend the Navajo Loop and Queen's Garden trail right into the maze of spires.
