Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, Massachusetts tells the story of five generations of the Adams family, including presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, from 1720 to 1927. The park preserves the two presidential birthplaces, Peacefield (home to four generations), and the Stone Library holding 12,000 family volumes.

Ride the park trolley between the homes and gardens; young kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge. For a challenge, take the full guided tour through Peacefield and the Stone Library, then walk to nearby United First Parish Church, where both presidents and their first ladies are entombed.
