This Guam park honors all who fought in the Pacific Theater of World War II, on the island Japan seized in 1941 and American forces retook in the brutal 1944 liberation. Units around the island protect invasion beaches, pillboxes, caves, and gun positions.
Walk Asan Invasion Beach, see the visitor center's exhibits, and climb to the Liberators' Memorial. For a challenge, hike the park's maintained trail to the Japanese coastal defense guns overlooking the landing beaches.
